St. Martin's Ampleforth is a Benedictine, Catholic independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 3 to 13.
The Prep School is located some 2 miles from Ampleforth College, in Gilling East, North Yorkshire. Ampleforth prides itself on preparing children, not just for their immediate futures, but lays a firm foundation for the confident, independent young men and women they will one day become. This is achieved through the relevance that our rich Benedictine tradition has for now and every day, for work and for play.
A visit to Gilling Castle will show you how we balance strong classroom teaching with unique outdoor opportunities in a magnificent setting. Our main purpose is to ensure each child entrusted in our care leaves St. Martin's Ampleforth ready to embrace exciting futures, competent in the skills they have acquired and confident in their relationships.
