Information and Communication Technology

Networked personal computers under the control of the Head of Information and Communication Technology are available in the main Computer Room and the Library, and in some academic departments. The computer network is extensive.

E-mail and World Wide Web facilities are available to all students to enhance communications and provide access to the wealth of valuable information available from computers at universities, colleges and government agencies. E-mail is intended for curriculum use and to help communications with families. Web access is enabled during lesson time, and at other times when teachers request the facility.  E-mail access is available at all times.

All students are taught basic computer skills, including word processing and the use of spreadsheets and are encouraged to learn to touch-type.
