EAL (English as an Acquired Language)
EAL
(English as an Acquired Language) classes usually take place in small groups,
as pupils are expected to already have a good enough grasp of the English
language to be able to follow a lesson taught in English.
By employing a broad range of intervention strategies, the EAL
department aims to provide the environment in which all pupils can fulfil their
potential.
The function of the EAL department is to help individual pupils
improve their essential skills, which in turn increases self esteem and
motivation.
