Joint choirs in fine voice for Vespers

Choristers from St. Martin's Ampleforth jointly sang Vespers of Eastertide in the Abbey Church on Thursday evening. They joined the monastic community and members of the Schola Cantorum and Schola Puellarum from the College. A robust opening interpretation of Parry's I was Glad was conducted by Mr Conyngham, and accompanied by Mr Dore. The choirs concluded with a magnificent rendition of Achieved is his Glorious Work from Haydn's Creation. After Vespers, the choirs joined the monastic community for supper in the Main Hall.
